3 Musketeers Birthday Bars

Smart

By Shel Silverstein

My dad gave me one dollar bill
'Cause I'm his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
'Cause two is more than one!

And then I took the quarters
And traded them to Lou
For three dimes -- I guess he didn't know
That three is more than two!

Just then, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more than three!

And then I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
Down at the seed-feed store,
And the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more than four!

And then I went and showed my dad,
And he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head --
Too proud of me to speak!

It’s been quite a while since we’ve checked up on the Three Musketeers.  But in all fairness, we need to keep in mind that their fellow chocolate bars have been serving as a huge distraction for us in the past few years, and there’s simply nothing we could have done to avoid it.

With Snickers having gone through a serious makeover, covering itself in nut butter and becoming completely irresistible, and then Hershey’s and Reese’s becoming basically one candy bar on steroids, we were overloaded with chocolate goodness. But while all of this was happening, the Three Musketeers had their own secret plans in store for us. And as it turns out, it was so worth waiting for…

Walmart has recently added Birthday Cake Three Musketeers to it’s shelves, and it’s basically a ’90s kids dream come true in chocolate bar form. The new flavor of the chocolate bar is made with vanilla  nougat, and is covered in rainbow sprinkles and milk chocolate.

Back in the ’90s, we wanted everything to be filled with sprinkles and rainbows, and now all of our prayers are being answered.
