Alicia Silverstone’s Biggest Clueless Regret

Have You Earned Your Tomorrow

By Edgar Guest

Is anybody happier because you passed his way? Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today? This day is almost over, and its toiling time is through; Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you?

Did you give a cheerful greeting to the friend who came along? Or a churlish sort of "Howdy" and then vanish in the throng? Were you selfish pure and simple as you rushed along the way, Or is someone mighty grateful for a deed you did today?

Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that's slipping fast, That you helped a single brother of the many that you passed? Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said; Does a man whose hopes were fading now with courage look ahead?

Did you waste the day, or lose it, was it well or sorely spent? Did you leave a trail of kindness or a scar of discontent? As you close your eyes in slumber do you think that God would say, You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today?

The iconic ’90s film Clueless is turning 22 this year.  Alicia Silverstone, the star of the movie admits that she’s got one shocking regret about her Clueless wardrobe.  Silverstone played the role of Cher Horowitz, the girl with the wardrobe we all wished we had.  From the Mary Janes to the yellow plaid two piece, ’90s fashionistas had pined her clothes across the globe. The movie also inspired phrases such as as if and whatever into the vocabulary of many teenagers after it’s release.

Silverstone, who is now 40 years old was given Cher’s wardrobe after filming the movie, and unfortunately threw it all out.  She explains that at the very time, she was not into fashion at all and wore a green t-shirt and jeans every day.   Alicia was a tomboy and just wasn’t into it. She found the costume fitting to be a long and annoying process.  Only after the filming did she understand the importance of the outfits.

She simply did not know what to do with the clothes she was given.  While many of us certaintly also have regrets about the clothing from our childhood that we didn’t keep, this situation is a real bummer.  At least she still took on the role of Cher, because we really couldn’t imagine anyone else doing it better.
