Disagreements between different actors are not rare in Hollywood. Although many stars manage to push through, there are enough cases of actors who refuse to continue their scenes together. You’ll be surprised these actors didn’t hit it off:
Ryan Gosling & Rachel McAdams
Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams co-starred in the 2004 film The Notebook, and judging by their intense on-screen chemistry, we would have never guessed Gosling was not fond of McAdams. Director, Nick Cassavetes, revealed that Gosling even asked him to find someone else to play McAdam’s love interest, demanding: “Would you take her out of here and bring in another actress to read off camera with me?”. It seems the two managed to overcome their differences as after filming wrapped McAdams and Gosling dated until 2008.
Lena Headey & Jerome Flynn
The two Game of Thrones stars, Lena Headey, who portrays Queen Cersei Lannister, and Jerome Flynn, who plays her brother’s guard Bronn, aren’t on speaking terms. As it turns out, Heady and Flynn dated briefly in 2002. Their relationship reportedly ended so badly that the two refuse to be in the same room together. Die-hard fans of the show investigated the matter and discovered that in all seven seasons of the show, the two only had one scene together once, and didn’t exchange a word.
Emma Watson & Channing Tatum
Unfortunately, when Emma Watson signed on to appear in the 2013 comedy This Is The End, she didn’t expect what was to come. During Watson’s minor role in the film, she was asked to appear with another surprising cameo, Channing Tatum. Thing is, during their scene, Tatum opted to wear very little and breakdance in front of the actress. We guess he thought he was on the set of Magic Mike…
Vince Vaughn & Reese Witherspoon
The clash between Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn began while the two filmed Four Weddings in 2008. Apparently, the two had differences regarding filming styles. While Witherspoon wanted to practice before each scene, Vaughn preferred to jump right in, “wing it” and ad-lib. The two never even walked the red carpet together.
America Ferrera & Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan and America Ferrera shared the screen when Lohan guest-starred in Ugly Betty. Lindsay Lohan already had a reputation for being hard to work with at the time, and Ferrera seemed to agree with it. Things between the two got so bad that Lohan’s original arc of six episodes was reduced to just four. Reportedly, what angered Ferrera and other crew members was that Lohan went everywhere with an entourage, smoked all the time and trashed her dressing room that it had to be repainted.
