Ok, we are so excited and happy about this, it’s not even funny. We all know Billie Eilish, the talented singer-songwriter, pop star powerhouse. She recently attended the 2021 Met Gala wearing a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta gown. But she had one condition, which was she would wear the fashion house’s gown only if they stopped selling fur. This is absolutely groundbreaking. If anyone can convince a major fashion brand to quit fur, it would be Billie Eilish. We are so proud of her for standing her ground and always sticking true to herself and her beliefs. This will definitely go down in history, I mean, this is huge! She has changed the fashion game and we hope other well-known names will follow in Oscar de la Renta’s footsteps.

The Happier Than Ever singer would be wearing Oscar de la Renta for the very first time at the 2021 Met Gala. She agreed to work with them on a dress if the designer swore off fur. It makes sense after all because Eilish has been vegan for about seven years and is also very passionate about animal rights. This is going to change the fashion industry forever. In a recent Instagram post, she wrote, “Thank you @oscardelarenta for designing this BEAUTIFUL dress and bringing my ideas and vision to life. it was an honor to wear this dress knowing that going forward oscar de la Renta will be completely fur-free!!!!” What an incredible and positive step for the fashion world.
Eilish’s Met Gala peach gown was definitely different than her everyday grunge look we are used to seeing. But we are not mad about one bit. She looked absolutely incredible and really nailed the theme “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion.” It was a Marilyn Monroe-inspired look that had heads turning left and right. For being her first Met Gala appearance, she sure made an impact. She went on to explain in her Instagram post, “I am beyond thrilled that @fernandogarciam1205 and @tokibunbun and the entire team heard me on this issue, and have now made a change that makes an impact for the greater good, not only for animals but also for our planet and environment too. “I’m honored to have been a catalyst and to have been heard on this matter. I urge all designers to do the same.” We will always be rooting for you, Billie!
