Britney’s Nostalgic Playlist
Laura Lee - June 2, 2020

Here and there, when we’re listening to some new hits, we sometimes stumble upon some old classic favorites that we haven’t heard in more years than we can keep track of, maybe even more years than we can count on our fingers too if a decade has gone by.  Nonetheless, as soon as we hear it, something happens all throughout our body, and it makes us fall in absolute love with the song as though it was just released. When it comes to Britney Spears’ all-new ‘I Miss Y2K’ playlist on Apple Music, that’s pretty much what happens.

Her iconic playlist includes a wide variety of nostalgic artists and styles of music, making it likely that you’ll both recognize and adore at least some of the songs, if not all of them. The ‘I Miss Y2K’ playlist with Britney’s favorites is the ultimate way to update your playlist and give it that refreshed blast from the past.  Spears, of course, made sure that the biggest hits from the ‘90s and early ‘00s were included in her recommendations, such as Say My Name by Destiny’s Child and Love Don’t Cost A Thing by JLO. We’re honestly already feeling nostalgic just thinking about it!

And while it may be strange to wrap our heads around, many of these songs were released more than two full decades ago! Don’t worry, Britney herself was just as shocked at the thought as we are all right now, and brings her back to the start of her career when ‘Oops!’ had just come out.  Britney in fact has credited her fellow pop-star, Mariah Carey for inspiring her to pursue a singing career, revealing that Always Be My Baby is one of her all-time favorites.  Beyonce is another artist that Britney loves, sharing that her music makes her want to dance to no fail. This playlist is everything we all need right now.
