The Hollywood Foreign Press Association decided to serve a 100% plant-based meal at the 77th Gold Globes and its receiving applause from celebrities. Leonardo DiCaprio went on Twitter to show his support by retweeting the news and writing, “Thank you HFPA.” Bless Leonardo DiCaprio.
Fellow actor and climate activist Mark Ruffalo also tweeted the decision. “Our industry leads by example,” he wrote. “Vegetarian food is delicious and healthy and reduces green house gasses about as much as driving electric cars. The HFPA should be commended for this and all the other awards shows should follow suit.”
And that’s not all. Other celebrities applauded HFPA’s menu switch. Nathalie Emmanuel from Game of Thrones’ retweeted the news with an enthusiastic “errrrr YES!”
