Caged Bird

But a bird that stalks down his narrow cage can seldom see through his bars of rage his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing.
The caged bird sings with fearful trill of the things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom
The free bird thinks of another breeze and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn and he names the sky his own.
But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing

Christina Aguilera was without a doubt one of the most epic ’90s queens. Her debut album came out right before the end of the ’90s, however she was already well known for her role on The Mickey Mouse Club. None of us were ever able to understand how such a small human could have such a powerful voice. But somehow, she rocked it.
Aguilera very quickly became one of the world’s top pop stars, and was constantly put up against Britney Spears. We really could just love them both, by the way. She’s had tons of iconic moments throughout her career that are still being talked about today, but since she gave birth in 2008, her focus has shifted. She was a judge on The Voice, which was easier for her to do with children.
Now however, ten years since her last tour, she is ready to make a full force comeback. She’s got a new album and a new tour coming up, and we couldn’t be more excited. She waited this long because her kids were her number one priority. Now that they’re older, she’s looking forward to showing them this other part of her life.
Her new album will be released on June 15th and is called Liberation, the tour will begin towards the end of September. The Voice was good for the time being, but Christina is overjoyed to be back where she really belongs.
