Christmas is Here
Andrew Parker - December 24, 2021

Christmas is celebrated every year on the 25th of December. It’s a time for Christians all around the world to come together and celebrate this day with lots of happiness, cheerfulness, sweetness, and excitement. Christmas can also represent hope and goodness in one’s own self. Christmas is a holiday about sharing. It’s a time for us to share our joy and happiness with other people, especially the less fortunate ones who have no smiles on their faces. Christmas is also a day of being grateful because we could enjoy all these amazing things that God has given us every single day of the year.

Christmas is also about the spirit of giving. It’s a time when you give not just because it’s nice to give, but also because you know that someone else out there needs it more than you do. We should always try our best to be grateful and thankful for whatever we have, no matter how big or small it may seem. Christmas is not just another day. It has so many different meanings and stories associated with it. It’s also a time for us to be honest to ourselves and express our true feelings (and thoughts) about the things, people, and events in our lives. Most importantly, it’s a time for us to be grateful for all the amazing blessings God has generously given us.

The word “Christmas” comes from the words “Cristo” which means “Christ” in English, and “Mas” which means ‘Mass’ in Spanish. In other words, Christmas is a holiday celebrating the birth of Christ. But Christmas isn’t about the birth of Christ alone. Christmas is also a time for celebration and giving, which can be seen through all the things we do during this time such as decorating our houses with bright colors and lights, singing carols at churches and other public gatherings, exchanging gifts with loved ones, and family members (and even total strangers), visiting friends and family members and having festive meals. Merry Christmas everyone!
