Demi Lovato’s Unveiled Two Brand New Tattoos
Andrew Parker - January 1, 2019

Demi Lovato is certainly closing up 2019 with a bang! The singer just recently debuted a brand new neck tattoo of the word “survivor,” and she’s back with fresh ink once again. Just on the back of her neck, Lovato got a piece by renowned tattoo artist Alessandro Capozzi. The artwork is a micro realist rendition of the “Divine Feminine.” Both artists decided on a winged female figure clad in loosely draped clothing as she’s being carried up by three white doves.

“We created this piece together to represent a rebirth of the spirit,” Capozzi explained of Lovato’s new ink in his post. “The dark wings represent the bad times, their fading away is how she moved forward. The light from within represents the inner strength necessary for the change and the doves, pulling her up, symbolize the reach of [a] higher state of consciousness. Congratulations on your inspiring journey Demi, honored to have represented this for you.”

Capozzi shared a behind-the-scenes look at Lovato getting tattooed in his L.A. studio. According to TMZ, Lovato got the tattoo on Monday, December 23, from noon until 8 p.m. That means Demi Lovato spent a total of 8 hours in the tattoo parlor.
