The True Meaning Of Life

By Pat A. FlemingPublished: July 2017

The Years have passed by,
In the blink of an eye,
Moments of sadness,
And joy have flown by.

People I loved,
Have come and have gone,
But the world never stopped,
And we all carried on.

Life wasn't easy,
And the struggles were there,
Filled with times that it mattered,
Times I just didn't care.

I stood on my own,
And I still found my way,
Through some nights filled with tears,
And the dawn of new days.

And now with old age,
It's become very clear,
Things I once found important,
Were not why I was here.

And how many things,
That I managed to buy,
Were never what made me,
Feel better inside.

And the worries and fears,
That plagued me each day,
In the end of it all,
Would just fade away.

But how much I reached out,
To others when needed,
Would be the true measure,
Of how I succeeded.

And how much I shared,
Of my soul and my heart,
Would ultimately be,
What set me apart.

And what's really important,
Is my opinion of me,
And whether or not,
I'm the best I can be.

And how much more kindness,
And love I can show,
Before the Lord tells me,
It's my time to go.

Hopefully, you aren’t living under a rock and you know that Doja Cat is totally killing the game right now. The three-time Grammy-nominated rapper just launched her very first vegan makeup line in collaboration with BH Cosmetics, the  100% vegan and cruelty-free beauty brand. Doja Cat is known for her elaborate music videos, funny social media posts, and her unique style. Now, she is dipping her toes into the world of makeup, and we are ecstatic. Her new collection was inspired by her own style, as well as her latest album, Planet Her. Through this collection, Doja Cat wants to give fans essential products to create their own starter makeup pack.

This collection includes Goddess eyeliner, Blooming volumizer, a Metamorphosis brush set, Flora powder blush, Muse gloss, Mirage balm, Prism Loose powder, the 36 shade Mega eyeshadow palette, and the four shade Elements palette. Prices range from $9 to $36, so it’s safe to say we’ll be purchasing everything. It would be an understatement to say that we are beyond excited. BH Cosmetics CEO Yannis Rodocanachi said in a statement to Allure, “Everything is beautifully intertwined and connected down to every last detail. We created our packaging together with glamorous gold foil and psychedelic mushrooms to be consistent with what she’s putting out musically.”

Doja cat bought her first BH cosmetics eyeshadow palette back when she was just 14 years old and has become somewhat of an expert at the sultry smoky eye look. Even more so, the products offered in this collection are only things that the rapper herself would use, from the texture, pigmentation all the way to the consistency. Doja explained that for her, “this collaboration is such a full-circle moment for me. I grew up doodling in school and always had an artistic eye, so naturally experimenting with makeup was a huge part of my life as a teenager. I want to give people a pass to experiment, be different, and have fun.” This makeup seems just as colorful and unique as she is, and we are dying to try all different kinds of looks with this makeup line!
