Smart

By Shel Silverstein

My dad gave me one dollar bill
'Cause I'm his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
'Cause two is more than one!

And then I took the quarters
And traded them to Lou
For three dimes -- I guess he didn't know
That three is more than two!

Just then, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more than three!

And then I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
Down at the seed-feed store,
And the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more than four!

And then I went and showed my dad,
And he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head --
Too proud of me to speak!

So the bad news is that it seems as though there won’t be a Spice Girls reunited tour, at least not anytime soon. But the good news? It appears as though they will in fact still be getting together and bring girl power to the world in their new animated superhero movie. Rumor had it back in February that the girl group would be reuniting and going on tour together, after fans saw photos of them together with Simon Fueller, their manager.  Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Melanie Chislom (Sporty Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) and Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) came together on stage for the London Olympics closing ceremony. Since then, people can’t stop talking and dreaming about them reuniting.

Beckham shut down all the rumors telling the press that there will not be any tour. And while they aren’t meeting up for a tour, they have revealed that they are discussing different ideas for project that would promote the notion of female empowerment.  Spice Girls will be transforming the girl power notion into actual superpowers with their animated movie.

All five Spice Girls members have signed on permitting their character to be used in the movie and will be voicing the characters.  The news came out just a few days after Melanie Brown, Scary Spice told America’s Got Talented that although she can’t say anything just yet, that there is no doubt that the five will all be seen together this year. This movie is still in it’s very early stages.

Brown has also told the press that her, together with the rest of the Spice Girls group will be attending the upcoming royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which has prompted rumors that perhaps the group will be performing.   Whether or not the girl group is planning to perform for the Queen this May, they are still definitely on their way to a new global franchise.  It has been reported that the animated film is only the start of a new phase for them, and that they are exactly what Disney or Marvel needs right now.
