Although John Travolta has starred in no shortage of classic favorites, the most iconic was without a doubt his role as Danny Zuko in Grease.  And believe it or not, the movie was released an entire 40 years ago, and until today is still one of the most loved movies of all time.

In order to celebrate the special anniversary, the Cannes Film Festival has decided to throw a party by screening the musical with the director himself to watch, as well as John Travolta! He killed it with his denim jacket and everyone was overjoyed to see him.

For Travolta, the festival was epic. He premiered his new film, Gotti, joined Instagram, celebrated the 40th anniversary of the legendary Grease, accepted the Variety Cinema Icon Award,  and most exciting of all, he got on stage with 50 Cent.

Despite the fact that these two aren’t really connection, they made a power duo while 50 cent was performing Just a Lil Bit, Travolta busted out his Grease and Saturday Night Fever dance moves.  For a 64 year old, it was seriously impressive.

Apparently, Travolta joining in was his own idea, figuring that he might as well make the most of his time there.  It’s always nice to know that the stars of such iconic movies still remember their roots.
