Whenever we visit a mountainous place, hiking is one of the most fun activities you can do there. To begin with, it is important that you plan the day ahead. Hiking can be extremely fun however if the day isn’t spent well you may experience dry spells and sickness. To avoid such an experience it is important that you equip yourselves with the necessary tools. This article will let you know the dos and don’ts of hiking.

To begin with, during the day, make sure that you do not wear very warm clothes. Check the weather forecast tool properly. If you feel that the weather might be too rainy, carry a raincoat with you but make sure that you do not carry things that might excessively lead to you being too busy carrying your stuff and not focusing on the trek. It is important that you keep a water bottle that can fit into something. If you carry anything in your hand that may lead you to exhaustion and more chances of falling.

It is always a good idea to invest in good hiking shoes. Multiple people use running shoes to hike and that is one of the easiest mistakes multiple people may make. Hiking shoes are preferred as they form a certain grip and save you from falling.

Do not forget to apply sunblock as without sunblock you may experience itchiness and red skin. Sun may even burn your skin to an extent that it may take multiple months to get over the redness. Furthermore, make sure that you keep on reapplying the sunscreen otherwise your skin may feel damaged. It is important and necessary that you wear light-colored and comfortable clothes. Wearing dark-colored clothes will absorb light and make you feel warm and uncomfortable.
