How To Travel From Home
Andrew Parker - May 21, 2020

Right now, traveling isn’t really an option. And for whatever reason, we all are dreaming of travel all that much more. Perhaps all that extra free time at home has been inspiring our wanderlust, and we also tend to want what we can’t have.  The mind works in strange ways. But really, who’s to say that we can’t at least feel like we’ve gone on vacation from the comfort and safety of our own home? We sure didn’t, and here’s how to do just that without spending even a home, using the very items that you already have laying around your house.  And better yet, with these vacations from home experiences, there’s no need to spend too much time making a tight schedule or even calling to make a booking.

A vacation from home means pure relaxation, without any of the worries that tend to come with planning and maneuvering a trip.  So for starters – how about a virtual tour of the national parks?  Get your best hiking gear on, set yourself in your backyard with a picnic blanket, and enjoy the fresh air as you make your way (virtually) through some of the most stunning trails.  And what about those vacation sunsets? Well, why not watch the sunset from the rooftop of your home? Watch in awe as the skies paint you a picture, perhaps with some wine and cheese to make it into an Instagram picture too.

But if you’re looking for a little more action while on holiday, how about a pool party? Don’t break the rules of social distancing, of course, but your roommates or family should do the trick!  Blow up all your cute pool floats, throw on your best bikini, blast some music, make some colorful drinks and there’s no way you shouldn’t feel like you’re at an all-inclusive resort in sin city.  These are only a few of endless ways you can make your own vacation from home. Did someone say we’d have to wait until next year to travel?
