Instagram Archived Posts

Creating a very perfect Instagram account is no simple task as you all surely know. Sometimes, unfortunately, we need to delete some old posts that are no longer as cool or as aesthetic as we once thought. Whether we’ve changed friends, didn’t get enough likes as we would have liked, or realized that there are new ways to up our Instagram games, there is no shortage of reasons to delete posts from the past.  But thankfully, now, you don’t actually have to delete any posts to achieve Instagram perfection.

Instagram has been so generous as to allow its users to get rid of posts from your own feed and save them in an archive, without completely deleting them from your life permanently. And thankfully, the whole process is super simple and user friendly.  Just go to your Instagram account, and choose any photo that you don’t want to be publicly displayed anymore.  Tap on the three dots in the top right corner of the post you want to be removed, and select ‘archive’. By completing these simple steps, you’ll have the post removed from your Instagram profile, but won’t be deleting it completely, and can access it whenever your heart desires.

So how do you access these pictures once you’ve archived them? Well, that’s also just as simple.  Enter your Instagram profile, and select the three lines in the top right corner, then pressing on ‘archive’.  Once you’ve entered your archives, you’ll be able to see the photos you’ve removed from your profile, as well as your old stories, with the option of filtering between the two.  What’s even more exciting about this not so new feature that many of us are only discovering now is that your archived photos will even remain with the filters you’ve put when you posted them!
