Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that; At least no one ever has done it;" But he took off his coat and he took off his hat And the first thing we knew he'd begun it. With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin, Without any doubting or quiddit, He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn't be done, and he did it.
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, There are thousands to prophesy failure, There are thousands to point out to you one by one, The dangers that wait to assail you. But just buckle in with a bit of a grin, Just take off your coat and go to it; Just start in to sing as you tackle the thing That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.
It’s official: Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost are engaged after two years of dating. On Sunday, May 19th, Marcel Pariseau, Johansson’s publicist, confirmed the news to the Associated Press. There are no details about their wedding. Pariseau said they haven’t set a date yet.
The two have kept their relationship pretty private during the two years that they have been dating. Given that if makes sense that the details of their engagement are under wraps. Johansson isn’t on social media, and although Jost has Twitter and Instagram, he doesn’t update frequently and hasn’t made any sort of mention of their engagement.
There are no ring photos or any story about how Jost asked the question, it’s still exciting to hear the news anyway. Both Johansson and Jost have had a big year in 2019. Johansson starred in the movie Avengers: Endgame as Black Widow, and Jost continues to host “Weekend Update” on Saturday Night Live. And now their love story is making us all go aww as they decide to spend the rest of their lives together.
Johansson and Jost met before they began dating in May of 2017. They first met in 2006 when Johansson hosted SNL. Jost opened up about the first time they ever met in September of 2017 to Entertainment Tonight. “The first time she hosted was the first year I was a writer on the show,” the comedian said at the time. “So, we’ve kind of known each other since then… she’s the best. She’s wonderful. She’s working, so otherwise, she’d be here. She’s pretty cool… It’s hard to have a lot of complaints, she’s pretty awesome.”
In April of 2018, the two made their red carpet debut together at the premiere of Avengers: Infinity War, where they posed for photos not hiding their love. Since then, their relationship seemed to be steady and beautiful.
Rumors began circulating earlier this year that they might be getting engaged. US Weekly reported in February that they had moved in together, and an inside source said that Jost is “head over heels” in love.
“Scarlett loves Colin too, and they are in it for the long haul,” the source said. “They have talked about marriage and are fully committed to each other. Colin gets a starry-eyed look in his eyes when he talks about her.”
