Katy Perry welcomed her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom — who is also dad to 9-year-old Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr — a daughter with the most perfect first name to go with the last name Bloom: Daisy. Daisy has English origins and of course is the name of a gorgeous flower, also means “day’s eye.” And even though it’s not the most commonly heard name, it remains fairly popular according to Social Security Administration data: in 2018, it was the 169th most popular name for girls, which is the highest it’s been on the yearly list since 2011 when it sat in spot 167. Daisy’s middle name, Dove, on the other hand, is a unique choice that we’re sure has a sweet meaning for the couple (or maybe it was chosen simply because the full name has a great ring to it: Daisy Dove!). Katy and Orlando likely settled on the name Daisy before their girl’s arrival, as in their birth announcement photo (which was originally shared by UNICEF, since both mom and dad are Goodwill Ambassadors) all three of their hands can be seen, and Katy’s manicure is front and center with a small daisy painted on her thumb nail. Adorable!
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are celebrating the arrival of their daughter Daisy Dove Bloom with some precious presents from their friends. On Sunday, the singer showed off the gift Taylor Swift sent their little one. “Miss [Daisy] adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift,” Katy wrote. “hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager.” Katy and Taylor have certainly come a long way over the years. After becoming friends back in 2008, the ladies developed a feud that spanned over a decade. However, in 2019, they ended their beef once and for all when Katy appeared in Taylor’s “You Need to Calm Down” music video and they shared a hug onscreen. We love seeing these two superstars supporting each other!
