The internet has once again been shaken up with the sight of two of the most iconic ’90s pop stars living their best lives. Thanks to the #ThrowbackThursday Instagram hashtag, Mariah Carey has shared with her 6.9 million followers a nostalgic throwback photo of herself and Britney Spears all decked out in ’90s gear.

Apparently the picture was taken the very first the two met in 1999, and it’s all the #TBT you”ll ever need in life.  It’s common knowledge that Mariah and Britney have incredible respect for each other, especially since Britney is one of the very few stars that Mariah claims to remember meeting (remember the whole thing about her claiming to have never met Jennifer Lopez?)

She captioned the picture with ‘We need a new picture, Brit”.  And as much as we’re already over the moon with this picture, we certainly wouldn’t object to some sort of duet.
