Have You Earned Your Tomorrow

By Edgar Guest

Is anybody happier because you passed his way? Does anyone remember that you spoke to him today? This day is almost over, and its toiling time is through; Is there anyone to utter now a kindly word of you?

Did you give a cheerful greeting to the friend who came along? Or a churlish sort of "Howdy" and then vanish in the throng? Were you selfish pure and simple as you rushed along the way, Or is someone mighty grateful for a deed you did today?

Can you say tonight, in parting with the day that's slipping fast, That you helped a single brother of the many that you passed? Is a single heart rejoicing over what you did or said; Does a man whose hopes were fading now with courage look ahead?

Did you waste the day, or lose it, was it well or sorely spent? Did you leave a trail of kindness or a scar of discontent? As you close your eyes in slumber do you think that God would say, You have earned one more tomorrow by the work you did today?

In today’s world, we have unprecedented access to the lives of our favorite celebrities. Social media and the evolution of the digital world has created a culture that expects to know what their favorite stars are eating for lunch, who they are going out with on the weekends, what their children and families are up to, and so much more. Here’s a look back at some of the more rare, candid moments in Hollywood history.

The famous Crocodile Hunter poses with his young daughter Bindi. Irwin was known for his incredible connection to animals, but he was also known for his love of family. After he tragically passed away in 2006, his family (and especially his children), carried on the Irwin name and are all involved with animal organizations of some sort.

Singers Cher and Gene Simmons are photographed sharing a snack in the late 70’s. Rumor has it that during that time Cher and Simmons dated for a while.  If we could turn back time maybe we could have captured them sharing a KISS.

Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney, 1983

This amazing photo of two of the worlds most beloved cultural icons is a candid instant classic. Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney are captured doing the dishes. During the time the picture was taken they were collaborating on a song together. Chances are that they were hanging out, recording music and made some food. In 1985, Michael Jackson paid $47.5 million dollars to own the copyrights to the Beatles’ music. By owning the copyrights, Michael earned royalties each time a Beatles song was played on the radio or sold in stores. Ironically, he even outbid Paul McCartney himself, as well as John Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono.
