Festivalgoers have had a pretty awesome start to Coachella this year. On Friday, April 12th, DJ Snake played a set when Cardi B and Selena Gomez made a surprise appearance. Along with Ozuna, the artists performed their song “Taki Taki,” making the entire crowd go wild. The epic performance even included actual glitter cannons making it truly a night to remember.

Selena Gomez has previously attended Coachella as a party-goer, but not as a performing artist. This year marked the first time she took to the Coachella stage and fans couldn’t have been happier. Cardi B performed at last year’s festival.

People took to Twitter to express their excitement. “Selena Gomez came to #Coachella to be the happiest version of herself!!!” and another fan described the performance as “magical.” Another decided Selena Gomez “invented” Coachella with her performance.

Selena kept her look carefree in an all-white suit with frilly lace sleeves. Her hair was kept long and wavy with just a small braid on the side of her head. Cardi B wore a floral vest and blue bodysuit, her hair blonde and straight. Basically, iconic.

Coachella has only just begun, and it’s off to a really great start. The schedule is packed with some impressive performances, like headlining act Ariana Grande. Festivalgoers have plenty of more performances to look forward to.
