Once Upon a One More Time is every Britney Spears’ fan dream. The Broadway musical is set to Britney Spears songs and it officially has the best cast ever. Briga Heelan is set to play Cinderella, Justin Guarini as Prince Charming, and Emily Skinner as Stepmother. The announcement by The Nederlander Organization came six weeks before opening night which was set for April 30th at Chicago’s James M. Nederlander Theatre. However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the production has been postponed. The news comes as no surprise as all other shows have been temporarily shut down due to COVID-19, including all Broadway, off-Broadway, and West End productions. Keone and Mari Madrid were set to direct and choreograph Once Upon a One More Time, which is a fresh take on classic fairy tales featuring a book by Jon Hartmere.

Also in the cast: Brooke Dillman as The O.F.G (Original Fairy Godmother), Aisha Jackson as Snow White, and Mimi Scardulla and Tess Soltau as Stepsisters Belinda and Betany. The original story was created by Jon Hartmere (The Upside) with songs by Spears including “Oops! I Did It Again”, “Stronger,” “Toxic” and “Lucky.” Once Upon a One More Time is described as an irreverent take on classic fairy tale princess stories. The plot finds Cinderella, Snow White, Little Mermaid, Rapunzel, and others gathering for a book club meeting when “a rogue fairy godmother drops The Feminine Mystique spurring a royal revelation. The princesses are faced with the question: could there be more to life than true love’s kiss?
