The Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale is coming back soon for its third season. Praise be!
Warning: spoilers ahead.
A quick recap of what happened in season two of The Handmaid’s Tale, the season finale left us with a major cliffhanger. Elizabeth Moss’s character June/Offred had a chance at freedom but chose to stay in Gilead to rescue her daughter, Hannah. It was a shocking moment in the show, to say the least, and now the real battle with the regime’s higher-up’s is about to begin.
The first full-length trailer was released and it’s amazing. We hear June’s voice saying, “Heresy. That’s what you get punished for, not for being part of the resistance. Not for helping people escape, because officially, there’s no such thing as escape.” From the looks of the trailer, Mrs. Waterford, Nick, and Bradley Whitford’s Commander Lawrence will be the among her allies this upcoming season. We will also see Alexi Bledel’s character Emily escape out of Gilead with June’s baby. Intense.
