The Lizzie McGuire Reboot
Claire Miles - November 13, 2019

By Shel Silverstein

My dad gave me one dollar bill
'Cause I'm his smartest son,
And I swapped it for two shiny quarters
'Cause two is more than one!

And then I took the quarters
And traded them to Lou
For three dimes -- I guess he didn't know
That three is more than two!

Just then, along came old blind Bates
And just 'cause he can't see
He gave me four nickels for my three dimes,
And four is more than three!

And then I took the nickels to Hiram Coombs
Down at the seed-feed store,
And the fool gave me five pennies for them,
And five is more than four!

And then I went and showed my dad,
And he got red in the cheeks
And closed his eyes and shook his head --
Too proud of me to speak!

The McGuire family just got reunited, and it feels soooo good! Lizzie and her incredible family are coming back together for a reboot of the iconic show, 15 years later!

The original characters of the family will all be playing the same characters as they did back in the day, but we’re still not sure who will be playing Gordo and Miranda. We sure hope it will be Adam Lamberg and Lalaine, but only time will tell… and if Lizzie’s childhood friends aren’t around anymore, well then it just makes it all that more realistic unfortunately.

The show centers around the idea that Lizzie fabulous NYC life gets turned around on her 30th birthday.  She’s left with no choice but to turn to her family and her animated 13 year old alter ego, adding an added value of nostalgia.

Other than that we don’t have too many details about the reboot just yet…but we’re more than ready for whatever The McGuires have in store for us and how they will help Lizzie figure out adulthood!
