The Magic School Bus is about to go on a very special field trip to a place it’s been never before – and no, not even Ms. Frizzle, believe it or not. This iconic children’s show that debuted an entire 26 years ago is taking a trip to the big screen, and we can’t wait to join the whole classroom on the bus. What’s also incredibly exciting to take note of is the fact that Elizabeth Banks will be taking on the role of Ms. Frizzle in the movie, and we really couldn’t think of a more perfect fit for this unique character.
The Magic School Bus series led by none other than our beloved Ms. Frizzle started out as a book series written by Joanna Cole before the animated series that we all know and love became a ‘90s childhood staple on PBS, and make science something we not only looked forward to learning about but also something that we were actually able to understand once and for all. According to the producer of Scholastic Entertainment, they are super thrilled to bring Ms. Frizzle to life and inspire our new generation of students to get excited about science.
At the moment, we’re still not quite sure what kind of field trips Ms. Frizzle will be taking her class on, but we’re sure that its nothing short of a memorable adventure in every episode. And when it comes to actress Elizabeth Banks, this role isn’t the only exciting project she’s taken on right now with an impressive line up of supporting roles. We’re also not sure exactly when Banks will start driving the Magic School Bus, especially with everything going on right now in the world, but either way, we’re all ready to buckle our seat belts and go on a magical ride!
