Saying that this cassette is legendary would be a real understatement.  Eminem was actually still struggling to make payments on his trailer home when the The Slim Shady LP dropped, his second studio album and his major debut.  It was released on February 23rd, 1999 following his recruitment by Dr. Dre and Jimmy Lovine.

Dating Drama

In more recent news, this past May, Eminem and Nicki Minaj have finally organized their first date after he asked her out. Not only did he simply ask the pop star out, but he did so in the most epic way possible, doing it live on stage after been caught doing some public flirting.

Michigan Mayhem

Eminem appeared on Notre Dame Michigan and came off to his fans as seriously confused, with his mouth hanging open.  It was described to be an awkward interview with no eye contact made.  He was later on defended by the ESPN producer, who explained to fans that he was actually taking on the persona of a character from one of his recent music videos.

Family Feud

Eminem told his wife that he was taking his daughter Hailie to Chuck E Cheese but, in reality, he took her to the recording studio to record her part for the song “’97 Bonnie & Clyde,” a song about a field trip with his infant daughter to dispose of his wife’s dead body. A study that observed 93 of the top artists in more than 25 different genres of music found that Eminem actually had the widest vocabulary.  He shocked the world with a massive 8,818 unique words that he used in his music. He topped Jay Z (6,899 unique words), Tupac (6,569 unique words), Kanye (5,069 unique words), and Bob Dylan (4,883 unique words). Clearly that’s where Hailie got all her smarts from.
