The winter is behind us and spring is officially in full swing. Stuff your bulky sweaters and winter coats in the back of your closet because the warm weather has arrived. While you’re already packing away all your dark, dreary winter gear (goodbye heavy moisturizer!) go ahead and ditch your dark nail polish too. The latest trend for the warmer weather? Tie-dye nails!
Every ’90s kid’s favorite arts-and-craft activity is having a moment in the fashion world. It is literally everywhere. It’s been spotted all over runways for both spring and fall 2019 collections. From Collina Strada’s leggings to Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s puffer coats to Area’s miniskirts. There is tons of ’90s groovy attire coming to us hot this summer.

Manicurist Kim Truong painted hairstylist Justine Marjan’s nails tie-dye. Each nail was painted a different neon color. She credited inspiration to South Korea nail artist Park Eunkyung. Eunkyung is the mastermind behind the much-followed nail salon Unistella.
Gigi Hadid jumped on the groovy bandwagon having nail artist Mei Kawajiri paint her a tie-dye masterpiece on her nails. Gigi showed off the design on Instagram which she wore for her twenty-fourth birthday celebration. Kawajiri painted just Gigi’s ring fingernails tie-dye.
For those who are dexterous enough can try recreating the look themselves at home. Los Angeles nail artist Julie Ventura posted a tutorial on how to create tie-dye nails at home. First she creates tie-dye nail polish stickers, then paints a coat of clear polish, applies the stickers, files, and quickly adds another clear topcoat.
