Victoria Beckham Throws It Back To Cheer England On

Caged Bird

By Maya Angelou

The free bird leaps on the back of the wind and floats downstream till the current ends and dips his wings in the orange sun rays and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks down his narrow cage can seldom see through his bars of rage his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings with fearful trill of the things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom

The free bird thinks of another breeze and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream his wings are clipped and his feet are tied so he opens his throat to sing

The caged bird sings with a fearful trill of things unknown but longed for still and his tune is heard on the distant hill for the caged bird sings of freedom.

The 2018 World Cup has come to an end with France taking the cup.  Croatia and England lost to them in the semi-final, and quite obviously each team was very excited about potentially winning the final.

One of the best reactions in fact came from a Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, posting about the Spice Girls, her husband David Beckham and the World Cup all in one post.

Although England, the team she was most obviously rooting for lost, we loved seeing Victoria’s excitement for her country and that she did it by sharing a Spice Girls photo, especially since she hasn’t exactly been the most enthusiastic of the group in recent years, sharing mostly just photos of her family and her fashion empire.

It of course has got us all wanting a Spice Girls reunion, however Victoria has shut down any rumors of a reunion tour, saying that’s it’s only about keeping the legacy alive.

Well at least we got a taste of ’90s nostalgia in her Instagram post.
