The True Meaning Of Life

By Pat A. FlemingPublished: July 2017

The Years have passed by,
In the blink of an eye,
Moments of sadness,
And joy have flown by.

People I loved,
Have come and have gone,
But the world never stopped,
And we all carried on.

Life wasn't easy,
And the struggles were there,
Filled with times that it mattered,
Times I just didn't care.

I stood on my own,
And I still found my way,
Through some nights filled with tears,
And the dawn of new days.

And now with old age,
It's become very clear,
Things I once found important,
Were not why I was here.

And how many things,
That I managed to buy,
Were never what made me,
Feel better inside.

And the worries and fears,
That plagued me each day,
In the end of it all,
Would just fade away.

But how much I reached out,
To others when needed,
Would be the true measure,
Of how I succeeded.

And how much I shared,
Of my soul and my heart,
Would ultimately be,
What set me apart.

And what's really important,
Is my opinion of me,
And whether or not,
I'm the best I can be.

And how much more kindness,
And love I can show,
Before the Lord tells me,
It's my time to go.

Water is one of the most essential needs of the body. It is important to ensure that your body gets the right amount of water, otherwise, it may get dehydrated. To ensure that your body works at full capacity, try incorporating increased water intake. Furthermore, it is a fact that the human body is 70% water, which means that if you do not fulfill the required amount, you will be unable to function properly.

Maintaining the balance of body fluids

The human body is composed of water and the major functions include digestion, saliva formation, and urine production. Water absorption is monitored by hormones that are released by the brain such as ADH. These are released when the water consumption is less so they plan on a mechanism that involves less water loss. Neurologist, Stevan explains this, “Fluid losses occur continuously from skin evaporation, breathing, urine, stool, and these losses must be replaced daily for better health.”

Water ensures a healthy and glowy skin

Every person craves good skin and the easiest way to do so is by increasing the intake of water. When people drink less water, not only the body goes into dehydration but also the skin begins to feel extremely dull. However, even excessive amounts of water can also command the kidneys that this excess water should be removed from the body. However, you can also hydrate your skin by using chemicals and moisturizers such as hyaluronic acid which will trap the moisture in the skin.

How to drink more water?

The best way to incorporate the habit of drinking water is to keep a water bottle with you wherever you go. This will make sure that you have water in hand. People tend to skip water by being lazy so carrying a bottle solves the issue. Furthermore, you can also flavor your water by soaking in fruits that will give a very refreshing taste.
