Kim Kardashian and her eldest daughter, North West, set up a lemonade stand for a good cause. Their stand sold Kanye West’s Adidas collaboration sneakers in order to raise money for charity. Kim posted on her Instagram Story that the Kanye and Adidas collaboration intends to raise money for the National Alliance on Mental Health. They are recruiting families all over America to see Yeezys sneakers in their own lemonade stands.
Kim wrote, “Today Kanye and Adidas partnered with families across America to create homemade pop-up lemonade stands stocked with limited pairs of the unreleased yeezy boost 700 v2 ‘Geode.'” Kim also shared a cute video of North West and her cousin, Penelope Disick, painting their lemonade stand in their driveway.
The Kardashian-West family set their stand up in their neighborhood, Hidden Hills, California. Kim stated that Adidas “selected unexpected locations for the stands to connect with communities throughout the country,” such as Indiana, Texas, Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, and South Dakota.
Kim has been undertaking several family-oriented charity projects recently. In November of 2017, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian took North West to volunteer at the Los Angeles Food Bank. In a recent episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim opened up saying,
“I am just at a point in my life where I don’t want to be naive anymore. I want to use my platform to get other people involved. I just hope that I can shine a light on this issue, and hopefully, more people will come together and we can figure out a solution for this.”
The Parkland school shooting survivors organize the event March For Our Lives in Washington D.C. in March of 2018. Kim and Kanye took their daughter North West to the event. Kim said that she hopes North West will remember the experience forever. “I hope that she just remembers that she was a part of something positive that was happening to change the world for the better.”
