Warner Bros is in the works of a new Scooby-Doo movie and we are all very excited. They’re recently signed two big new stars to voice some of the Mystery Inc gang. This is the first time since the 2004 live-action remake, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, that Scooby and the gang are hitting the big screen. In the new movie, they will team up with other Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from villain Dick Dastardly.
Frank Welker has been the voice of Scooby-Doo since 2002, and the voice of Fred Jones since its inception in 1969. Welker, luckily, is coming back to voice-over for Scooby-Doo once again in the next film. Will Forte is playing Scooby’s best pal, Shaggy. Gina Rodrigues is playing Velma and Tracy Morgan is playing Captain Caveman.
The most exciting news was dropped by Deadline: Zac Efron is joining the gang as the part of Fred. Efron should have no problem getting into the role as he’s played the popular jock back from his High School Musical days. And where would the gang be without Daphne? Luckily, Amanda Seyfried has been cast as Daphne.
Deadline reported that the film will not just be all about Scooby and the crime-solving gang. The movie is bound to hit theaters in 2020 and sounds like the nostalgia we all want. We are all definitely hyped for Efron and Seyfried to join the Mystery Inc investigators. The cast sounds so good we might even be wishing for a live-action remake too. Thanks to the awesome star-packed cast, the new film is definitely going to be a must-see in 2020.
